Growing up, I have always been an introvert. I was that kid that sat on the side lines watching everything around me. I enjoy observing the intricate details of life - the color, the smell, the personality, how people move in it, etc. As I got older, that joy in details grew into an admiration for photography and the ability to tell a story in a single snap shot. So whenever I get a free moment to pick up my camera, I do it! It's been a long time coming, but I am officially done with school (FOREVER, woot woot)! I'm a full time sonographer, working two jobs, trying to balance my career and my love for photography. I spend all day imaging people's insides and during my spare time I like to image people's outside :) Photography is one of my favorite past times, but with only so many hours in a day, it remains my hobby. Thus, I will be available for limited portrait sessions.

That's a little about me... now, tell me about you! I look forward to hearing from you.

San and Tammi Teaser

Veng and Tina Engagement

As promised, here are the photos from Veng and Tina's engagement shoot. I loooooved this shoot. It was so easy for me to photograph these two. They are so tender and so natural. This must be what true love looks when you actually take the time to look at it... I did, and I think it's gorgeous!

Tina's hair was done by Vy Nguyen and makeup by Lynda Le. Great job girls! Tina looks fabulous!

Veng and Tina Tea Ceremony

My dear friends Veng and Tina are finally tying the knot! Woohoo! I must say, I'm really happy for the two of them. I have a feeling I'm going to be a mess on their wedding day. I mean, I already started to tear up while I was working on their photos from their engagement! What the heck! But to be honest, I don't think I'll be the only one. There is just something about Tina that makes us so emotional. My guess is because she our rock. When we're feeling down or unsure of ourselves, she has a way of making us see the bigger picture. She makes us secure. To make things more emotional... all you need to do is add Veng into the picture! I love seeing the two of them together. So nurturing, loving, and with the utmost respect for one another. Their love is so true and so genuine.

Ok, I think I need to stop because I'm going to get all mussy if I don't.

So... to start things off, here are some photos taken in the morning. Tina's family and friends did a fantastic job working together setting up the house for the ceremony.

Tina's hair was done by our very own, Vy Nguyen and makeup was done by Lynda Le. Those girls are so talented. I keep trying to come up with a reason to get them to do some work on me!

By the way, the bottom left picture makes me laugh. I think Tina was pretending to be Veng, racing down the street in case he was late... Luckily he only lives a few blocks away...

Family! Below is Tina's sister and brother. Such a good looking family.

After the tea ceremony we were off to our engagement session! Check back soon for a new post with those photos!

The Andrews

A few weeks ago, Amy and Tom, who is brothers with my good friend, told me they were going to be in SoCal and wanted me to do a family shoot for them. My schedule has been a little nuts, but I'm glad that I got to meet up with them to do the shoot. It was the first time that I got to meet their little Emily.

When we got to the field, Emily was pretty refreshed from a nice nap so we were off, but before we knew it, she was ready for another! Luckily, all Emily need to cheer up was her dad lifting her to the sky. She was happy as can be!

Amy and Tom, thank you for coming to SoCal, and I look forward to seeing more of Emily... and a girls' weekend wouldn't hurt either! Just let me know :)

I just love the contrast of yellow with Amy's gorgeous red hair and green cardigan!

Sabbath Afternoon with Melia

Per usual, the Mamoulelis had a hefty lunch after church and while 3 out of 5 of us were knocked out on the couch, Melia and I hung out on the porch trying to get some fresh air.

I love our little bug. She's growing up so fast. Lucky for us, the camera loves her and can document her every move! I hope Chris and I will have a child half as cute as Melia. Just look at her. You tell her to look into the camera, and she strikes this pose:

And then she gets sassy on me and gives the camera a little 'tude:

And finally... the shot most models can't get right. Melia gets it in an instant! Looks like I staged it and had a fan blowing in her hair. Love it!
